FMC’S 2010 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING SUCCESSFULLY HELD

On April 22, 2011, FMC held Annual General Meeting 2010 in Soc Trang. Most of shareholders were shrimp farm owners, shrimp raw material suppliers, and fellow-business parties, so approximate 70% of shareholders and shareholders’ representatives attended the meeting.

FMC’s Activities in the first quarter of 2011

In the first quarter of 2011, FMC has processed 1,032 MT of shrimp finished-products. Concurrently, 1,243 MT of shrimp products (including inventory quantity) and 274 MT of vegetable products were consumed. Total turnover reached USD 14 millions equivalent to 165% compared to the same period of 2010. Profit is estimated approximately VND 4 billions.

Storm Being over

Until September this year, FMC was in the advancing impetus of recovering production capacity as well as production and business efficiency. Suddenly, unexpected problem that Japanese Government detected residue of banned chemical in shrimps of CP VN Company led all projects to be confused.  In October, a consignment of FMC fell into same situation with several fellow traders. Shipments to Japan were delayed because FMC’s Board of leaders should have time to regulate and keep close control of raw material.
